Title: Implementation of Helping Babies Breathe in rural South West Nigeria: an assessment of knowledge and skill
Biography:
Adenike Adebola Olaniyi (M.PH, B.Sc. Nursing Educ., R.N., R.PdN ) a Doctoral student at the School of Nursing and Public Health, College of Health Sciences, University of Kwazulu-Natal, Durban, South Africa. Had her first degree in Nursing Education at the University of Ibadan in 2001 and her postgraduate studies also at the University of Ibadan, Oyo State of Nigeria in 2014 respectively, before proceeding for the Ph.D. Nursing (in view) at UKZN. Before proceeding for my Doctoral degree, she was a lecturer at the School of Nursing, University College Hospital, Ibadan, Nigeria. She is a Paediatric Nurse, researcher, teacher, and activist. She had several paper presentations and research publications.
Abstract:
Deficient resuscitation influences significantly neonatal mortality globally. Effective neonatal resuscitation has the potential to prevent perinatal mortalities related to birth asphyxia.
Nigeria has one of the highest neonatal mortality rates in the world, and neonatal resuscitation training was not targeted to the correct health provider (World Bank 2015). As a result of this, problems related to asphyxia related death occur in newborns (Uwakah & Merritt 2016). According to the UNICEF report of 2018, it was reported that neonatal mortality rate per 1000 live birth in 2017 for Nigeria was 33%, and 27% in Sub-Saharan Africa (United Nations 2018). In Nigeria, Community Health Extension Workers, Traditional Birth Attendants, and other birth attendants assist in the majority of births more often than doctors in rural and community PHCs (Uwakah & Merritt 2016). Therefore, there is a need to fill the practice gap and empower health workers by putting in efforts to focus on this disparity of birth asphyxia and its connection to reduced skill provided.

Title: Behavior of Xanthomonas fragariae Dw in an inorganic medium enriched with N, P, or K
Biography:
Dr. Djassinra Tormal. I received my Ph.D in sciences of enviromment from university Ibn Tofail in 2016. After completion of my degree, I was appointed as a faculty fellow in the Department of Health and enviromment at the University of Ibn Tofail. I served as the Head of Study of antibacterial and antifugal activities of two medecinal plants growing wild in the Gharb region (Chenopodium ambrosiodes l and Rosmarinus officinalis l from 2014-2016. My interests are focused on the use of microbiology to study the antibacterial and antioxidant effect of medicinal plant on Antibiotic Resistant Strains in 2016. Chemistry agro resources, polymers and process engineering.
Abstract:
In this study, the behavior of Xanthomonas fragariae, angular leaf spot of strawberry agent, was followed in the AB medium, enriched with nitrogen, phosphorus or with potassium, and in the soil of the Mamora forest with 14% to 28% of humidity in function of these fertilizer elements. The obtained results have shown that Na2HPO4 and NH4Cl, used, 0.01 and 0.05 mol/l, respectively as a phosphorus and nitrogen source, have a significant effect on the survival of Xanthomonas fragariae. By contrast, KCl, used as a source of Potassium, has no significant effect on the number of culturable cells.
